ARSENAL

Arsenal is the only one in the race to sign this midfielder

Arsenal after narrowly missing out on qualification for the champions league has a huge and important summer ahead of them. Mikel Arteta knows what he needs and Kroenke knows what he needs to spend.

Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo may potentially leave the side especially after being linked with Arsenal who’re still the main contenders. Arsenal needs to bolster their squad depth in the midfield sector.

His move to Seria A giants hasn’t turned the way he thought and with almost no game time. A convincing offer to arrive in Turin is the only thing standing between Arthur and his freedom. Arthur may be interested in a move to London and Arsenal could very well be his desire. All fall to Arteta’s bid because Arthur’s contract with Juve is still valid.

Arsenal and Arthur

The decision to leave Barca was complete for Arthur. He couldn’t establish himself as per the standards of Barca. Arthur thought his time at Juventus will give him assured game time and a good chance to triple his current wages. The financial side of things in Italy is way easier and clubs can afford to pay players more. This is why Arthur left Barca for Juventus in a swap deal for Pjanic.

Arsenal had been eyeing the midfielder back in January when Partey was out on injury. However, on Tuesday morning, a news outlet Corriere Dello Sport claimed the Gunners could be back for the target they already aimed for in January.

Arthur is worth nearly €20m-30m, and the Serie A giants may consider a potential swap to make this transfer happen. Arsenal is reportedly the only one interested and is also claimed to be the only ‘real buyers’ for him. Talking from the gunner’s point they don’t have anyone to swoop but they want to increase their bench quality. If Arsenal signs Arthur then chances are there they’ll pay for it. The Gunners already struggled to sign Arthur in January. Juventus knows the interest and will continue to play tough in these talks.
