Johan Bakayoko is a dynamic winger and is one of the best young players in the Eredivisie this season. The 20-year-old was initially a top target for only Arsenal. However, Manchester City are also considering a move for the winger. Moreover, reports state that any club wishing to sign Bakayoko will have to pay nothing less than £43 million. Additionally, while Arsenal and Man City are already targeting the Belgium winger, other clubs are also monitoring his situation. Chelsea and Liverpool are also keeping an eye on the 20-year-old.

Johan Bakayoko’s performance for PSV this season

The Belgian winger is a brilliant player with excellent technical abilities and pace. The 20-year has six goals and eight assists to his name in 25 appearances so far. PSV are currently at the top of the table. Moreover, Bakayoko’s efforts have been impactful for the team. The Belgium international has a contract with PSV until 2026 and is currently happy there. However, a move to the Premier League may be exciting for the youngster. PSV are on top of the Eredivisie table, 10 points above defending champions Feyenoord and are on the way to win their first title in six years. Additionally, Bakayoko is proving to be vital for the Dutch giants. Former PSV boss Ruud van Nistelrooy spoke about the winger’s capability and dominance on the field.

Nistelrooy said,

“He’s a boy who, if he continues to invest in what he’s doing now, hopefully at the end of the season can make a nice step towards first. He’s worked hard on multiple facets of his game, and that’s showing through now. Maintaining this level in the longer term is his goal.”

Bakayoko’s recent form has also earned him a call up to the Belgium squad. Moreover, he will be beneficial to any club he goes to in future for his capability and skills.
