West Ham United have decided to sack David Moyes after his contract runs out this summer. Julen Lopetegui will be the replacement as per the reports. Lopetegui is a known face for Wolves after the former Real Madrid manager saved them from relegation. David Moyes who was criticized for his defense gameplay and lack of results still did a pretty good job. Lopetegui left the club earlier due to a turmoil with the club’s management. After Wolves sell loads of their key players due to financial fair play they made average signings. This reason was enough for the manager to leave. Now as he returns to English football we can expect Big transfer window from West Ham.
What’s to be expected from this “Big transfer window”
talkSPORT broadcaster Rennie tweeted on Monday (6 May): “What a huge summer for Lopetegui. Areola, Kudus, Alvarez, Bowen & Emerson are the only players able to play what he’d want. Forget Paqueta, he’s not staying. That’s half a team to be brought in. There needs to be some serious money brought in from sales. Lots of players out.”
His current selection of players has also not been much help, especially in defence with Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerf, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Ben Johnson and Aaron Cresswell all receiving their fair share of criticism.
Sassuolo attacker Lauriente plays off the left but can also operate as a forward. He is renowned for his blistering pace, a key commodity in the Premier League. Di Natale says West Ham and Tottenham are vying for the 25-year-old’s signature along with Juventus and a Ligue 1 side. Moreover He states both clubs have watched former France Under 21 star Lauriente on several occasions.
However It will be interesting to see how West Ham United will lineup after this summer. Julen Lopetegui will have a big challenge ahead of him.
