Aston Villa are going to have a busy transfer window

With Aston Villa going to play in the Champions League next season, the club will make many transfer deals. Besides buying players, the Villans will also have to sell some of their players and save up funds. Aston Villa could help Carlos Soler start fresh after a difficult time at Paris Saint-Germain. The 27-year-old was given less than 1000 minutes across the season. Therefore, a move to Villa Park could take place this summer. Another player Villa could target is Arsenal’s midfielder, Emile Smith Rowe. Moreover, along with Smith Rowe, the other players that could leave the Emirates this summer are Aaron Ramsdale, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah. Post David Raya’s entry, Arsenal’s other goalkeeper, Ramsdale was barely given minutes to play. Additionally, Ramsdale is gaining interest from top clubs and a move away from Arsenal could be seen.

Aston Villa want to sign £17 million PSG midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sell several players in the upcoming transfer window under Luis Enrique. It is the manager’s second season at the Parc des Princes. Although PSG have won the Ligue 1 title, they are still looking to sell players. Moreover, with Kylian Mbappe’s departure after this campaign ends, PSG will be looking to make new signings. One player that the French club are trying to sell is Carlos Soler. The 27-year-old is gaining interest from top clubs. Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City are aware of Soler’s availability and might pounce anytime. Moreover, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig are keeping a close watch on the Spanish player. However, the club that has taken discussions ahead is Aston Villa. With the Villans gaining a Champions League spot for next season, they will surely look to build their squad.

The Villans are Champions League bound next season

Aston Villa have been exceptional this season. Unai Emery’s work led the Villans to a top-four spot in the Premier League, meaning they will be part of the Champions League next season. Aston Villa beat Manchester City at home and also did the double against Arsenal. Moreover, Aston Villa drew to Liverpool in a thrilling game with a 3-3 score line. They have been dominant throughout the season with their performances. Although the club are looking to build the team, they will work within the Premier League’s rules.

While speaking about Villa’s performance, Emery said,

“We have to arrange what we are doing with Financial Fair play at the start. Then, through that, we must be intelligent and build a new team. We are not thinking to add or sign players. We are trying to be intelligent. So we have to work now, and analyze it deeply.”

The Villa manager further added,

“Financially, being in the Champions League is better than not. Our budget could be better. We are going to have to be clinical with our decisions. But we have to manage Financial Fair Play for this season. Then, we build. And I think we can be intelligent and build a strong team to compete in the Champions League, Premier League and the cups.”

Aston Villa made it to the UEFA European Conference League semi-finals as well but unfortunately, they did not win. The Villans lost to Olympiacos with a 6-2 aggregate. However, the future for Aston Villa looks bright and they could fight for several trophies in the years to come.
