Brazilian talent can solve Wolves problems

Sheffield United

Gomes arrived at Wolves as a relatively unknown quantity. The Old Gold signed him in January 2023 for £15 million from Brazilian giants Flamengo. Currently he is one of the key players in midfield for the English club. Gomes ranks third for most tackles in the Premier League this term (110), behind only Sheffield United’s Vinicius Souza (121) and Fulham’s Joao Palhinha (138). The improvement in the Wolves star and his blossoming partnership with Mario Lemina has been incredible. Also with Gary O’Neil deserving of so much credit. Wolves have shown they can get the best out of the Brazilian talent. Moreover that should prompt them to explore the Brazilian market further.

Another Brazilian talent to complement Gomes

Chelsea are preparing a £47 million bid, as per TEAMtalk, to land Brazilian wonderkid Estevao from Palmeiras. However looking at the current situation at Chelsea it is possible young players will look for other options. The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects on the planet, alongside teammate Endrick, who is joining Real Madrid this summer.

With Pedro Neto potentially departing for big money this summer, Wolves could use that cash to activate Estevao’s €45 million (£38 million) release clause to lure him to Molineux. With interests of Chelsea and Arsenal it can be difficult to sign the youngster. However Wolves who are known for their ability to develop players can be an option for the youngster.

Described by talent scout Antonio Mango as ‘special’. There is every reason to believe he can become the next world-beating star to emerge from Brazil. Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is also a big fan of the youngster and will be excited to bring him this summer. With the right decision he could be the next Brazilian to light up the Premier League surely.
