N’Golo Kante back from injury ahaead of Chelsea’s Carabo Cup clash agsint Southampton

Chelsea are set to welcome back N’Golo Kante to the squad. After he missed the match against Norwich City due to some muscle tightness. But now N’Golo Kante should be back in the squad to face Southampton.

Star striker Romelu Lukaku is again set to miss the match due to the ongoing ankle injury he picked up against Malmo in the Champions Lague. Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Lukaku would be out for at least the Norwich and Southampton match. But he could miss up to four weeks of action. Leaving him on the sidelines up until after the international break. But his return date is still not confirmed yet.

Lukaku’s strike partner Timo Werner is also set to miss out on the Carabo Cup clash as he is out due to a hamstring issue. Just like Lukaku, a return date is not confirmed for the German forward. But he will definitely miss the Southampton clash.

American winger Christian Pulisic has been on the sidelines for over a month with an ankle injury. Although Tuchel confirmed that he is close to returning to full fitness. Chelsea certainly don’t wanna throw him into action too early and re-injure his ankle. It looks very unlikely that Pulisic could return in time for the Carabo Cup clash.
