With the entry of Manchester United’s new minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the squad is going to face changes in the upcoming transfer window. Manchester United have several transfer targets on their list. According to reports, one of their top priority targets is Michael Olise. The 22-year-old attacker is gaining attention from various clubs, however, United are currently leading the race to sign him. Moreover, the right winger’s release clause is between £50m and £60m. Although the Red Devils are leading the race to sign Olise, they have other competitors. Liverpool and Chelsea have shown interest in signing the attacker. However, Olise being a Manchester United supporter would prefer moving to Old Trafford. Unfortunately, Manchester United haven’t been able to secure a spot for the Champions League next season and this could hinder Olise’s decision.
Michael Olise has been outstanding for Crystal Palace this season
The 22-year-old’s current form has been brilliant. Unfortunately, Olise’s season was hindered with injury struggles which kept him out for a while. However, despite playing only 14 games, Olise has 7 goals and 4 assists to his name in the Premier League. Due to his outstanding display he is one of the most in-demand forwards in the market. The youngster has also received praise from the Crystal Palace manager as well as football pundits.
While speaking on talkSport, Andy Townsend heavily praised the midfielder. He said: “I like this young man. I really do, I think he’s extremely talented. Makes the game look ridiculously easy sometimes.”
Townsend further added,
“I do love watching him play. Needs a few more goals to his game. But I just think the way he plays off that right side coming in on his left foot, I think he’s really good.”
Michael Olise has been getting better and better in the Premier League. Additionally, the upcoming transfer window will surely be interesting to see where he goes. At the moment, Manchester United have the edge of getting the 22-year-old. However, no firm decision is made about Olise’s future yet.
