Chelsea star Benoit Badiashile apologises to fans after his mistake against Newcastle

Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile issues an apology to the fans after Newcastle United game. Badiashile made a horrifying error leading to the opener for Newcastle vs Chelsea last night. The two sides locked horns is the Quarter finals of the Carabao Cup. Despite falling behind, Chelsea were able to score an equaliser with Mykhailo Mudryk. Eventually, they emerge victorious on penalties with a save from Djordje Petrovic. Badiashile was at fault for Newcastle’s goal as the ball tangled his legs popping out for Wilson to easily put it in the net.

However, the French centre-back now apologizes for his error on X. He wrote,

“Dear Blues, I would like to apologise for my mistake yesterday which fortunately had no consequences, I will work hard to ensure that this does not happen again. See you in the next round. Come on Blues.”

Meanwhile, Mudryk urges Chelsea fans to trust Pochettino and ‘trust the process’. He said,

“It means a lot to score and to win this match. This can happen when you trust in each other and believe until the end. Sometimes when the game is tough you need to keep pushing and believe until the last second because it’s football and anything can happen.

Like our gaffer said we are going to try to win this title. Before this game and after this game our plans didn’t change. In my humble opinion we are going in the right direction. We have to trust the process and trust our gaffer. We are building a really strong team. Sometimes to create something big you need time.”
