Jarell Quansah impressed on his Liverpool debut against Newcastle

Young defender Jarell Quansah impressed everyone on his Liverpool debut against Newcastle United as Reds came from behind for a historic victory.

Trent Alexander-Arnold praised the youngster after the match and labelled him as extraordinary. The right-back was speaking on Sky Sports after Reds unthinkable turnaround on Sunday.

Quansah’s memorable debut at St. James Park will be an unforgettable moment for the club supporters. The youngster came in for Joel Matip for the remaining 13 minutes of the first-half.

Virgil Van Dijk got red card in the 23rd minute on of the match for a reckless tackle against Alexander Isak. But after that it was a historic turnaround for the Mersyside club as Darwin Nunez changed the course of the match.

The Uruguayan International came on as a substitute in the 77th minute and scored a brace for the away team. He scored the winner in 90th minute from a sensaliting assist from Mohamed Salah.

It’ll also be a dreadful night for the Magpies, as the match ended in a nightmare. The home side were shellshocked after scoring goal in the very early minutes of the match.

However, Alexander-Arnold praised the youngster and said :-

“The lads that came on, outstanding. Jarell Quansah, absolutely phenomenal in his first game for us, coming on in an atmosphere and an environment like this is extraordinary. And to hold his own in the way he’s performed is outstanding.”

As the season unfolds, Quansah might become an instrumental figure for Reds. Many were also waiting for this day as he already impressed everyone during the pre-season tour.
