Former English Manager Daniel Murphy claims that he was shocked when Liverpool signed Argentine midfelder Alexis Mac Allister this summer.
As per Daily Mail column, Murphy was making some predictions ahead of the start of new Premier League season. The Reds will look to improve their performance after previous season’s horrific run.
Klopp’s team will miss the Champions League football this season, as they didn’t finish in the top-4 last term. However, Murphy backed them to get back to their old form in the upcoming campaign.
Meanwhile, Murphy was more surprised that Liverpool signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. Dominik Szoboszlai was also bought from RB Liepzig to give Liverpool’s midfield a “new look” this season.
Mac Allister is going to be a important player for Reds in this upcoming campaign. After their midfield exus, the Argentine is going start with Szoboszlai in the opening day fixture against Chelsea.

Daniel Murphy still can’t believe that Liverpool signed Mac Allister this summer. The former manager predicts that the Argentine will among the top five players to watch this season :-
“I was surprised to see Liverpool sign him because he’s not the usual Jurgen Klopp midfielder.
“He usually likes them strong and physical while Mac Allister is diminutive and technical.
“I’m excited to see how Klopp uses him and his impact on the team because he’s a gifted player.
“It’s a change in approach but he could become a real talisman. The fans will adore him.”
Mac Allister has been impressive in the pre-season friendlies. His new team-mates have been quite impressed with his addition into the roster.
