Manchester United poor display against Palace angered INEOS

Manchester United defeat to Crystal Palace surpassed fans’ fears. Oliver Glasner’s Palace, in good form, faced a struggling Manchester United.

From the get-go, United were dreadful, suffering a 4-0 loss at Selhurst Park. This defeat added pressure on manager Erik ten Hag. Of particular concern to Ten Hag was the presence of two senior Ineos staff witnessing United’s collapse.

From the stands, Technical Director Jason Wilcox appeared displeased observing Manchester United’s performance. Interim Chief Executive and Ineos Sport CEO Jean-Claude Blanc sat next to him, wearing a stern expression.

The away trip was lengthy, with an inconvenient kick-off time, giving both plenty to ponder. They’ll need to reflect and report to Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford for a decision.

Manchester United has even more tough fixtures till the season end

Manchester United have won just one of their last seven games. Up next, they’ll face Arsenal, Newcastle, and Brighton before the FA Cup final.

Manchester United’s performance against Palace was laughably poor throughout. They were disorganized defensively and lacked coherence in attack. Palace could have easily scored more than their four goals if they were luckier.

Next up, United will host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, a team with everything at stake. A significant improvement in performance is necessary, but it might be a challenge. Manchester United will face a might City side during the FA Cup final as well. This might be their last chance to get a title in this horrible season.
