Pundit Graeme Souness claims midfielder Martin Odegaard is yet to showcase his best form for Arsenal Football Club this season.
Gunners are now prepare to host Tottenham Hotspur in a North-London Derby on Sunday. Both the club are in red hot form in this current campaign.
Arsenal are placed in fourth position with 13 points, same as Tottenham, who sits in 2nd position on Premier League Table. Gunners will be favourite on paper as they’ll have the home advantage on Sunday.
However, Ange Postecoglou is doing great job with Spurs as they are performing at top level this season. Many thought that after Harry Kane’s departure, the club will struggle to find their rhythm, but that’s not the case.
Arsenal have also recieved a major boost as Martin Odegaard signed a new long-term contract with the club. The Norwegian International has been breakout star under Mikel Arteta.
Writing on the Daily Mail, Souness know that fact that Odegaard is yet to best form for Arsenal. The pundit said :-
“Arsenal do have some very good players in their team.
“Gabriel Jesus, back after two knee operations in 12 months, who is lively, aggressive, brave and can hopefully now just get on with his career.
“I really like Bukayo Saka – who is going to be a top player in our football for a decade, barring injury – and Martin Odegaard, who seems to be getting better and better.”
Odegaard has already showed if what he is capable of in last campaign as Arsenal came very close to winning the Premier League Title in last campaign.
However, the 24-year-old will develop more in the upcoming campaigns.
