Chelsea have a season to forget with ninth place in the table. The hopes of European football are out of sight however there are some positives. Players like Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer were played different positions by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino to find their touch.
However one player who impressed the most was Nicolas Jackson. Despite being his first season for Chelsea he showed great spirit in the attack at certain times. After being criticised for his bad finishing the player provided great quality through his efforts. Nicolas Jackson has scored 13 goals in 39 appearances for Chelsea this season. In most of his appearances he played as a striker proving to be a great asset to the squad.
According to journalist Simon Phillips : “Some at the club believe that Chelsea might need and could even push to bring TWO new strikers, with club insiders also feeling similar to us, that Nicolas Jackson can and could play as a left winger moving forward.”
Nicolas Jackson new role can still give Chelsea some problems for having a lack of striker. Chelsea who were unable in find the back of net in majority of matches needs a clinical player upfront.
