Pundit Darren Bent suggests Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard is currently performing better than Liverpool’s latest signing Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian international joined club from German outfit RB Liepzig this summer. Since joining the club, Szoboszlai has been in good form for the Mersyside club.
Former England footballer and pundit Darren Benta suggest that Szoboszlai is yet reach Odegaard’s level, according to him. Speaking on the talkSPORT last night, Bent comparing among Dominik Szoboszlai, James Maddinson and Martin Odegaard and he put the Arsenal midfielder above everyone on the list.
While discussing the matter, Bent said :-
“Szoboszlai’s been very good, plus I’ve just seen Maddison rip Arsenal to pieces!
“All three of them, well Odegaard’s not a new signing, but certainly Szoboszlai and Maddison have been top, top draw.”
Szoboszlai can go ahead with his current red-hot form but Odegaard edges for this moment of time. The Norwegian midfielder has been instrumental for Arsenal as the North-London club came very close to winning the Premier League Title last season.
The Former Real Madrid man scored 15 goals and provided 7 assists across all competitions last season. Arsenal signed him for £40 million in 2021.
If Szoboszlai can compete with these numbers this season, he can become very best in Premier League this season. However, numbers are not everything in football.
Both Odegaard and Szoboszlai are different kind of players and there playing style differs from each other. But currently, the Arsenal man is way ahead of the Hungarian due to more experience in Premier League.
