Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano denies that West Ham United may walk way from Declan Rice talks with Arsenal this summer.

As per reports, Declan Rice is close to becoming a Arsenal player this summer. Gunners agreed a fee of £105 million fee with West Ham.

£100 million initial fee is being agreed with £5 million performance-related add ons. Rice is set to become Arsenal’s most expensive transfer ever in their history.

Rice will join Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, who joined Arsenal this summer. The German international was bought for a fee of £60 million.

The West Ham star have already agreed personal terms with the North-London club. Rice is set to become club’s third-highest earner.

However, rumours suggests that West Ham may walk away from the deal as payment structure of the deal remains a stumbling block. The timing of the installment to be paid in the future is also complicating the situation.

But Fabrizio Romano denies these rumours and rubbishing the reports that Hammers could walk away from this deal. Speaking on his YouTube Channel, the Italian said :-

“The rumours that circulated today on social media about Arsenal or West Ham walking away from the deal, at the moment, I’m told this is not correct while I’m speaking.

“The medical has not been booked yet, but it will happen in the next days if everything goes to plan. So, no worries, Arsenal fans. Declan Rice is really close and it’s about the final discussions on the payment terms to get it done. Be patient.”
