Ryan Gravenberch will undergo medical at Liverpool. The Dutch International reportedly flew to Merseyside on Friday. However, the flight was booked for Thursday night but owing to some technical issues it was delayed.

Fabrizio Romano, in his latest update, conveys that,

“He’s completing medical tests as new Liverpool player then set to sign his five-year deal.”

Gravenberch joined the Bavarians only last summer from Ajax, but decides to part ways just after one season owing to irregular playing time. Liverpool’s boss Jurgen Klopp was keen on this deal to happen. Infact, he considers the player ‘enormous’ amd will be the perfect signing for the Merseyside before the deadline.

Liverpool are reportedly paying around £38.5million including add-ons to sign Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. Bayern looked to recoup the £20m fee inclusive of add-ons they spent on recruiting Gravenberch from Ajax, plus make a profit. Ajax also have a 7.5 per cent sell-on clause in this deal.

Ryan Gravenberch is undoubtedly desperate for the opportunity to get his development back on track after being short of minutes at Allianz Arena.

The Reds have already made some big signings this summer, with the likes of Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboslai and Alexis Mac Allister joining. With the addition of Gravenberch, their midfield rebuild is looking concrete for the season. The fans at Anfield will be expecting their club to be the title contenders again after a disastrous previous season.
