Arsenal are showing interest in winger Brennan Johnson

Arsenal are showing interest in Nottingham Forest winger Brennan Johnson after Tottanham Hotspur scouted him reportedly.

According to Football Transfers, Nottingham Forest ace winger Brennan Johnson is attracting major interest from Arsenal. But it’s also reported that Forest will reject every offer if they secure their Premier League status.

Forest aren’t safe from relegation but the win over Southampton has certainly helped their cause. Johnson in under contract until 2026 and Premier Club are now showing real interest in signing him. Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Newcastle United are keen to aquire him in the summer.

Johnson has bagged eight goals and provided two assists in 34 games this season. It took a while to get going in the Premier League but has enjoyed a fine season.

Arsenal see Johnson as back-up for Bukayo Saka down the right side. But it might frustrate Tottenham fans little.

Tottenham are long-term admirer of Johnson as they scouted him reportedly. Due to his incredible pace, the Welsh International was outstanding for Forest last season.

Spurs Chief Fabio Paratici took a keen interest in Johnson and Djed Spence in 2022. He also went to scout both of them.

Spence joined Tottenham last summer but Forest kept hold of Johnson. However, as per The Telegraph, Spurs continue to scout the 21-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.

Johnson can Arsenal in a rather annoying twist of fate for Tottanham Hotspur in the summer. Gunners qualifying for Champions League next season is also another reason to lure the winger away.
