Chelsea

Journalist Fabrizio Romano shares the transfer plans of Chelsea. Romano that Chelsea are looking for a replacement of Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman is unable to feature much for the Blues this season after joining in the summer. Though, he made his return recently featuring in four games. The manager has publically spoken on the rumours saying Chelsea are looking for a striker. Moreover, Romano now says that the Blues will look for a striker after evaluating the seriousness of injury.

If Nkunku returns soon, he surely has the quality to make a big impact for the Blues this term. However, if he is unable to feature for next few weeks then the club must look for a cover to him. Chelsea have been relying on the likes of Nikolas Jackson and Armando Broja for their no9. But, the duo has not been a goal threat for other clubs. It remains to be seen who Chelsea could sign as an upgrade and Romano has suggested we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out more about their plans for that position.

One final point on Chelsea and links with a new striker – again, I’m not aware of anything advanced as of now; let’s see what happens next week but nothing is imminent or close so far.

Chelsea are still waiting to understand the exact conditions of Nkunku’s latest injury and then they will decide how to proceed, the situation will be clear soon.”

Chelsea now on a run of 3 consecutive Premier League victories. They recently defeated Fulham 1-0 marking their return in the top half of the table. If Chelsea to challenge for any European spot the must sign a good forward in this window as soon as possible.
