Arsenal could go for Moises Caicedo if they don’t get Rice -David Ornstein

Journalist David Ornstein claims that Arsenal could go for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo if they don’t get Declan Rice this summer.

After Arsenal had two bids rejected for the West Ham midfielder, Manchester City have entered the race for Rice. Guardiola wants a new central midfielder at the Ethihad this season.

If Rice joins City this summer, it will be huge blow Arsenal, but luckily they have alternatives in their mind. Gunners need to act on their ‘plan B’ to get out of his chaotic situation

According to Journalist David Ornstein, speaking on the Five YouTube Channel, Gunners’ recruitment team has identified Moises Caicedo as a possible transfer target this summer. He shared what ke know about the Brighton midfielder :-

“If Declan Rice doesn’t come off, which Arsenal may not be focusing on at this point because they’re focused so heavily on him, but if the worst case scenario happens they have a recruitment team who may look at Caicedo or others, we have seen Romeo Lavia linked quite heavily, I’m not sure of that one developing at this moment in time, but that could change in seconds or minutes.”

Arsenal fans will not be that mad if they don’t sign Declan Rice this summer. But it may not be a big deal if they end up getting Caicedo instead.

Caicedo has been just as good as Rice in the Premier League this season and he is much younger too. Moreover, the 21-year-old will be a nice aquisition for Gunners in this transfer window.
