Arsenal defender Cedric Soares wants to leave the club as soon as possible as his representatives are now actively looking for a new club.
According to TEAMtalk, Cedric has made the decision after he left out of the US Pre-season tour. Reports also claim that his agent is looking for a new club for his client.
Cedric’s representatives already had discussion with three top Portuguese club this summer. While, few Premier League clubs are also interested in him and Spanish club Villarreal are also in the race.
It’s been pretty clear for a while that Arsenal would sell him. Last Season, manager Mikel Arteta opted to play Ben White instead of him, which was quite devastating for Cedric.
After Jurrien Timber’s addition this summer, Cedric’s time at the Emirates looks to be over. He will lack regular game-time next season and hence decided to leave the club this summer.
The Portuguese defender was sent out on a loan to Fulham in January. However, he made only 8 appearances for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal also left him out of the US Pre-season tour, confirming that his services are no more required for the club. With that in mind, Cedric seems to have accepted it and as per reports, he will look a new challenge somewhere else.
However the good news is that some top clubs are still interested in signing him this summer. Cedric will like to leave his past behind and rebuild his career at some club next season.
