Arsenal edge closer to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia

Arsenal edge closer to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia this summer, as they’ve already agreed personal terms with the player.

Fabrizio Romano claimed on Monday that talks have already taken for the 19-year-old’s potential move to the Emirates. Now it’s just matter time for Arsenal to get this deal done.

Negotiations continue between the two clubs, with Southampton hoping to recieve a record transfer fee for their wonderkid. But other clubs are also taking interest in Lavia.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United are all interested in recruiting Lavia this summer. The Belgian set to continue his football in the top tier of English football.

Back in March, Lavia gave hints on his future and said :-

“I don’t read it [transfer rumours] because I just don’t think about it.

“I just enjoy my football and focus on what we have to do as a club. Whatever is outside, it is not what I can control, so I don’t pay attention to that. Football, with how it goes, it goes so fast.

“One moment you can be in the headlines and the next, you are not. So the only thing to do is just be neutral, don’t think about it and get your head down and work.”

The Saints had been asking for £50 million before their relegation from the Premier League, but are now expected to accept little less. But as per Fabrizio Romano’s report, Southampton will recieve a record transfer fee for a U-21 player.

Lavia would be an incredible signing for Arsenal. He is excellent technically and is a powerful operator on both sides of the field.
