Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that both Arsenal and West Ham United have finalized the deal for Declan Rice on Friday.

Both the clubs have reached the full agreement over the £105 million transfer fee for Declan Rice. Hammers were infuriated with how long the deal was taking.

According to Plettenberg’s Twitter account, the transfer will be finalised on Friday with Arsenal set to make an announcement for their magnificent summer deal. He wrote :-

“Declan Rice & Arsenal, the transfer will be finalized today! Last paperwork’s are ready to sign. It will be 100 % done this Friday.

“Rice, he’s a new player of Arsenal today!

“Understand it’s a package of up to £120m with possible add-ons included.

West Ham were frustrated at the delay because the club desperately wanted to move on from Rice. Hammers also needs to find his replacement quickly in this coming weeks.

With new season starting in just one month time, David Moyes and Co. now have only four weeks to ensure that the squad is fully ready to kick-off a new season. Ajax’s Edson Alvarez is seen as a potential replacement for Rice and Hammers have also contacted the Dutch club for a move.

Moyes will add more two to three new midfielders to his ranks this summer. Rice’s partner Tomas Soucek might also leave the club.

However, Hammers needs to hurry up to get much of their business done over the next few weeks. Rice’s deal took quite a time to get complete and West Ham would be thankful for it.
