Arsenal might have just found an unlikely solution to their right-winger positions. Many media people have also called it a Mikel Arteta masterstroke.
The name of the solution or the masterstroke is Reiss Nelson. He scored two goals and provided an assist in the Gunners 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
ARSENAL ARE LACKING DEPTH IN THE FORWARD AREAS OF THE FIELD
Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table. However, a number of football experts have said that they are lacking options in the forward areas of the field. Many have also said that they are one major injury away from a big disaster this season. This is because their new acquisitions in the form of Fabio Viera and Marquinhos need time to settle into the new league.
Hence, all the pressure directly comes on the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus to provide the goods. Although, all the players are likely going to go to the FIFA World Cup. Hence, it is likely going to increase the chances of injury. Therefore, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has requested a new right-winger signing in the January transfer window. However, it looks like Arteta spoke too soon about his demands.
REISS NELSON PERFORMS ON THE BIG STAGE WHEN IT MATTERS
Arsenal fans got a shock in the 27th minute due to Bukayo Saka’s injury. The injury was so serious that he had to be substituted. Hence, many thought that this would disrupt the brilliant star of their club’s campaign. However, the Gunners fans admitted after the match that they were happily incorrect. This happened because of the brilliant display of Reiss Nelson in the second half.
Reiss Nelson scored two goals and provided the assist for the goal of Thomas Partey. Hence, Arsenal managed to beat Nottingham Forest 5-0. This also helped them stay at the top of the Premier League. Hence, many Gunner fans also said on social media that he is better than Raphinha. However, in reality, Reiss Nelson has to keep on scoring goals and working hard to prove his worth to Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal would also like Reiss Nelson to continue his newfound goalscoring boots. They will also hope that the injury of Bukayo Saka will not be serious. If the Saka injury is serious it will be a big setback to the hopes of the England national team in the FIFA World Cup.
