The transfer plans of Chelsea have been continually hampered by Barcelona this summer. They will be seeking revenge over Barcelona after Barcelona beat them to sign Kounde.

The Frenchman chose Barca weeks after Raphinha made the same decision. However, the Blues can get revenge by signing these 2 important players from Barca in future transfer windows.

THE PLAYERS OF BARCELONA THAT CHELSEA MUST TARGET TO DISRUPT THEIR FUTURE PLANS

The first player is Ronald Araujo. He is one of the players linked with a departure. The La Liga club might need to sell him to balance their financial books. The arrivals of Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde will push him down the pecking order. Chelsea are in desperate need of a center-back. So, the signing of Araujo makes sense for the Blues. Another player they can sign is the young midfielder Gavi.

The midfielder has currently only one year left on his contract. The player and club have agreed basic terms over his extension. However, he is yet to put pen on paper to make it official. It gives the Blues enough time to turn his head. He is one of the best La Masia graduates in recent years. So, Chelsea stealing Gavi from under Barcelona’s noses would be the ultimate revenge.

THE BLUES MUST HOWEVER CONCENTRATE ON THE PRESENT PLANS

Todd Boehly is having a very bad window as an owner and the sporting director. He must help Thomas Tuchel sign three center-backs and one forward at least by the end of the window. The forward players are also an area of concern. Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech both of them want to leave the club in search of regular game time. The defense is also a concern with only Koulibaly the only signing in defense.

They have already lost Christensen and Rudiger on free transfers. Cesar Azpiculeta and Marcos Alonso also want to leave for Barcelona. However, Chelsea are not ready to sell them. After losing to Arsenal 4-0 in a friendly, Tuchel said,” “We were simply not competitive,” It was surely not our strongest lineup. This is a part of an explanation but only a little part… I cannot guarantee we will be ready in two weeks,” he added, referring to Chelsea’s Premier League opener at Everton on Aug. 6.

The Blues have only signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly this window. A number of players are linked with exits from the club. The club needs quality players for the upcoming season very fast and it must help Thomas Tuchel.
