ARSENAL

Arsenal might have sold their midfielder lest they should have got a right price deal last summer

Arsenal might have sold their midfielder Thomas Partey last summer if a suitable price offer would have arrived. This is claimed by journalist Charles Watts. Though, Arsenal might still unload Thomas in the upcoming January transfer. Watts was speaking on his Youtube Channel predicting the future of the Ghana international. He said that the Gunners would have considered a right money deal for Partey in the last summer.

“I would say right now, if I had to predict, look into my crystal ball and predict for the future, Partey – wouldn’t surprise me at all if he was sold in the summer.

“Given he’ll only have a year left on his contract, given his age, given his injury situation.

“If a decent offer arrives for Thomas Partey in the summer I think Arsenal will almost certainly, probably consider it.

“They definitely would have considered it last summer but a decent offer didn’t arrive so he stayed.”

Partey is no doubt a world-class player but his injuries are a headache for Mikel Arteta. Owing to this, the Gunners are looking for another option in the market in January. Players like Martin Zubimendi, Ruben Neves and Douglas Luiz are some names that Arsenal are keen on. Its clearly visible that Arteta has some considerable options available for him. Arsenal need a pivot midfielder in there midfield to complete the missing piece in their squad. Though, Partey is the perfect man for this job, but his injuries are enforcing a move away from The Emirates. With Watts revealing the previous plans of Arsenal, a plan for his exit cannot be denied at any cost.
