Arsenal have tabled £100 million bid to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as the player is keen on moving to the Emirates this summer.

The Hammers have rejected two bids from Arsenal this month. The transfer fee didn’t match their asking price for their starman.

Arsenal have submitted their third and may final bid to sign the West Ham captain, as per reports in Italy. This time they’ve matched their asking price of £100 million including add-ons.

Club supporters were also expecting a news of an improved third bid, especially when Manchester City have entered the race. Pep Guardiola’s side apparently hold a strong interest on the England International.

Arsenal are still in the hunt for their long-term target as manager Mikel Arteta serious about signing Rice this summer. The Spaniard is going to play crucial role if the Gunners get this deal done.

Rice has been one of the brightest stars in the Premier League last season. He has been the best performing player in David Moyes’ side by average match rating in the league, as per WhoScored.

Former England international and West Ham defender Mathhew Upson also believes he is “very mature” player for his age. He further said:-

“Rice is a very mature player for his age.

“He can handle responsibility amazingly well, which is why he was such a young captain in the Premier League.

“Players don’t usually come into their own in that position until their late 20s. For someone of Declan’s age, the level he is playing at now is exceptional.”
