Despite being linked with a potential move to Arsenal last week, it appears that Raphael Guerreiro, the Portuguese international, is now on the verge of joining Bayern Munich.

Despite the enticing prospect of signing Raphael Guerreiro on a free transfer after the player announced his departure from Borussia Dortmund, it appears that Arsenal has missed out on securing his services. Fabrizio Romano has made revelations that Guerreiro is set to join Bayern Munich in the upcoming days.
In a tweet, Romano stated, “Bayern are set to sign Raphael Guerreiro on a free transfer. Here we go! A verbal agreement is on a three-year contract. Which will be valid until June 2026. Personal terms have agree. The medical and signing are in schedule for next week.”
This news signifies that Arsenal’s opportunity to acquire Guerreiro has passed, with the player seemingly destined for a move to Bayern Munich.
Signing a player like Guerreiro on a free transfer would’ve been a smart bit of business by Arsenal, as they are only just looking for a backup to Zinchenko.
However, it looks like he’s now off to Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta and Edu will now have to look for a different left-back now if Tierney does end up leaving. That will not be easy as there aren’t too many players who are capable of playing that inverted full-back role.
