Arsenal are now looking to sign Southampton midfelder Romeo Lavia, as the Gunners plan to reshape their midfield next season.
The Gunners are now in pole position to sign Declan Rice this summer and, now they’re planning to pair him with Lavia. Arsenal are now said to be favourites the sign the Southampton man.
According to Miguel Delaney of The Independent, it’s quite possible that Arsenal pair up Rice and Lavia next season. Gunners looks to strengthen their team further.
If Arsenal signs both Rice and Lavia this summer, then they’ll have their midfield sorted for future. Both got huge potential to succeed in English top-flight football.
At the age of 19, Lavia is set to be a top player in next few years, while Rice has already shown signs of maturity for West Ham United at the age of 24.
However, the deal to sign Rice has been a rollercoaster ride for Arsenal. Gunners opening bid was rejected and report suggests that Manchester City also have entered the race.
Lavia could be more simple move, as Southampton got relegated last season. Hence, he can now actively push for a move this summer without any resentment.
Arsenal are said to be favourites for Lavia’s signature this summer. The midfielder could end up at the Emirates very soon.
