Mikel Arteta stated about Xhaka’s departure:-

“There are three parts to this – he had a very clear desire that it was the right time and a big opportunity for him personally to move there.

“We had that conversation and in the end, we all agreed that it was the right thing to move forward.”

Its good to see that Arsenal gave respect to Xhaka’s decision to leave the club. He has been one of the mainstays of their midfield in last few seasons.

Granit Xhaka personally feels that he has done everything and he was also brilliant for Arsenal last campaign. And he is 30 now and as per reports his wife wanted to back to Germany this summer.

According to SkySports, Arsenal are closing down on Declan Rice deal from West Ham United this summer. Hence Arteta has a replacement for Xhaka ready.

However, Xhaka did not always have the best of the times at Arsenal, but he was terrific form last campaign. He helped Gunners to finish 2nd in the League Table.

Xhaka is one of the finest professionals and Arsenal fan will acknowledge him for giving his all on the pitch whenever he played.
