Aston Villa are reportedly preparing for a bizarre exit of 21-years old Jaden Philogene from Villa Park. TEAMtalk reported on 30august that Hull City are in advance stages with the player. Besides this, Hull City has agreed a deal in principle with Aston Villa.
Aston Villa boss see not much minutes for Philogene
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery do not see the 21-years old getting much game time. The Spanish manager is moreover stacked with a lot of forward options including Bertand Traore, Leon Bailey & the latest signing Moussa Diaby.
The transfer news came despite the English winger featuring heavily for the Villans during pre-season, leading many to believe that he could have a bright future at the club. It will come as a huge disappointment to the fans to see a promising talent leave. The 21-years old winger even looked extremely bright and full of trickery during the pre-season friendlies.
Alan Hutton speaking to Villa News said,
“I don’t understand unless the player is forcing the issue to leave permanently.
“He’s had a really good pre-season so why not send him out on loan if they don’t see him being involved at this moment in time? He could possibly come back in January or whatever to be a part of it.”
On the sell on and buy back clauses he added, “I understand about covering themselves but for the sake of repaying double the money in a year’s time, I don’t get it.”
The news follows the trend of other Villa academy graduates like Aaron Ramsey securing a move to Burnley and Cameron Archer was sold to Sheffield United, both deals including a buy back clause.
It’s likely the club have made the decision to sell the youngsters to help ease any concerns over financial fair play following some big-money signings during this transfer window.
