Journalist Ben Jacobs suggests that Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni might end up at the North-London this summer.
Jacobs also claims that Southampton man Romeo Lavia is one to look for if Thomas Partey departs from the Emirates this summer. Gunners are going all guns-blazing in this transfer window as they have huge season in front of them.
Speaking on The Football Terrace, Jacobs suggests that Arsenal are great admirers of Real Madrid star. Gunners are monitoring both Romeo Lavia and Aurelien Tchouameni in this window.
Mikel Arteta will make a big statement of they’re able to sign the Frenchman this summer. Football Transfers suggests that Arsenal are currently monitoring Tchouameni.
Ben Jacobs was asked about the possibility of Tchouameni’s potential move to Arsenal this summer. The Journalist suggested that Lavia is more likely to join them if Gunners target another midfielder in this window. He further stated :-
“I just don’t think Tchouameni will be available in the market. I know we hear a lot of rumours about him, but ultimately Real Madrid like the player. And there’s no reason for them to sacrifice a player like Tchouameni to get Mbappe funds as you say. They feel they can just get Mbappe at the end of the season.
“And as a consequence, I don’t see Tchouameni coming to the Premier League this window. I think from Arsenal’s point of view, it’s very possible that they add another midfielder, especially if Partey goes. And he does have an offer on the table from Saudi .
“But because Xhaka went to Leverkusen, then T Partey, if he goes too, Arsenal will free up that midfield to bring in one more. And I think, rather than Tchouameni, it’s probably Lavia that might be one to watch.”
