Barcelona are ready offload Brazilian winger Raphinha in the summer to fund Lionel Messi’s return to Camp Nou next season.

Last month, there were some rumours that Barcelona are preparing to re-sign Messi this summer. Club officials are reportedly in talks in with La Liga about generating more flexibility in their Financial Fair Play regulations. As earlier, club was charged by the league for breaching code of conducts during 2021/22 season.

PSG are also facing issues in Messi’s contract talks and hence Barcelona will push to bring the World Cup Winner back to Camp Nou. But first, they need to offload some players to accomodate Argentina’s return.

As per reports, Raphinha is tipped to be sold by Barcelona in the summer. The Brazilian will be offloaded to gather funds for Messi’s return.

According to AS, Newcastle United, Arsenal and Tottanham Hotspur are showing interest in Raphinha ahead of the summer transfer window. Indeed, the Catalan Giants are ready to sell the player if they recieve a significant transfer money on the player.

Barcelona signed him from Leeds United for £55 million last summer. Lately, Raphinha have shown great signs of form for the Catalan Giants. He scored nine goals and provided ten assists in 42 appearances so far this season.

Moreover, Raphinha reportedly does not feel valued at Barcelona, given that the club wants to use his sale to pave way for Messi’s return to Camp Nou

But manager Xavi has shown no indication of parting ways with the Brazilian. In February, manager described him as “the future of Barcelona”. He further stated:-

“He’s a criticised player but he does a lot and we value him a lot.

“We will always support Raphinha – he’s the future of Barcelona.”
