According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich might enter the race for Liverpool midfielder Fabinho if his deal with Al-Ittihad collapses.
The Brazilian destined to join the Saudi club this summer but they’re haven’t really been many concrete updates on his situation in past few days. Due to this complex situation, new club might enter the race for Fabinho’s services next season.
Plettenberg posted on his Twitter account and wrote :-
“News Fabinho: Bayern is monitoring his situation closely!
“Fabinho, close to join Al-Ittihad as Liverpool wants to finalize the deal soon. Bayern aware of it. But: If the deal falls through, he would be interesting for Bayern! He fits into the profile. Bosses have a top relation to his agent Jorge Mendes”.
Bayern Munich will be an interesting project for Fabinho and ofcourse they’ll offer Champions League football next season. The Brazilian might have the opportunity to join the German this summer.
However, the Saudi move will furnish Fabinho with hefty amount of money, a figure Bayern will struggle will struggle to match. But the deal with Al-Ittihad might collapse at the very end.
So, it would be interesting to see which club Fabinho joins next season. Both Bayern and Al-Ittihad can offer similar level of competition and wages.
Liverpool will look get rid of him as soon as possible and replace him with a new player this summer. And, according to the Sun, Jurgen Klopp have shortlisted 9 names as their midfield target this summer. The list consists of Sofyan Amrabat, Romeo Lavia, Kalvin Phillips, Ryan Gravenberch, Moises Caicedo, Cheick Doucoure, Aurelien Tchouameni, Joao Palhinha and Khephren Thuram.
