Ben Chilwell is keen to turn things around for Chelsea. Chelsea have only won one of their last 10 games in all competitions. The player have admitted to the fact that the Blues’ recent run have not been good. Ben Chilwell believes that they have not been good enough for the last few games. Graham Potter’s side succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against Southampton on Saturday. Southampton player James Ward-Prowse scored the only goal in the match. The Blues also lost their Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie with Borussia Dortmund this week. This has put Graham Potter under extreme scrutiny. Chelsea have spent over £300m in the January transfer window. They have signed some big-money players in the January transfer window hoping for improvement. Ben Chilwell believes they must do more to turn the tide around.

The players and the manager will have to take responsibility for their recent performances. Ben Chilwell reflected on their recent performances. The player commented,
”Again, not good enough. I can stand here and say we created chances, like I said in Dortmund, but it doesn’t really mean anything. We need to win these games. We need to work hard, it is a pretty flat dressing room at the moment. It is hard to get into it, in terms of what we did right and wrong today, but we have time now until our next game to work hard. It is easy to say, but we really do have to work hard and turn this around, and the only people that can do that is ourselves.”
He further added,
”It is never nice for a very competitive group that wants to win stuff. Some of us a few years ago tasted winning a major trophy and then to be in this situation now, does not feel good at all. It is understandable that the fans are not happy. They expect Chelsea to win matches which we also expect.”
Ben Chilwell reveals that the dressing room have been flat at the moment and that they really have to work hard to turn things around. He believes that they are a competitive group and therefore wants to win things. The fans would be hoping that the players really do work hard and turn things in their favor.
