Borrusia Monchengladbach believes Liverpool will bid for Manu Kone

Borrusia Monchengladbach believes the fact that Liverpool is going to bid for French midfielder Manu Kone in the remaining days of the transfer window.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk in Romano’s Daily briefing, Liverpool is going to make move for the 22-year-old as the club hierarchy rates him highly. He also suggested that Reds have to pay a transfer fee if £30 million for the French midfielder.

As per Falk’s report, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also taking in Kone this summer. The midfielder joined Borrusia Monchengladbach just back in 2021.

The journalist discussed the situation briefly :-

“With [other target, Ryan] Gravenberch, they know what they’d be getting, though there’s also Manu Kone to consider. I heard Gladbach is also expecting an offer from Liverpool soon because, after his injury, he’s become cheaper.

“Before a suitor would have to pay about €50m [£43m], now you can get him, perhaps, for about €35m [£30m].

“So it’s up to Liverpool to make the next move. Bayern and Gladbach will be open to talks.

“PSG are still interested in Kone, so there could be a big competition for the player if Liverpool firmly enter the race.”

The summer transfer window closes in just few days, Liverpool need to act fast to secure the signing of Kone. Former Chelsea Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer described the midfielder as a “phenomenal player” on The Football Show.

With time ticking, Liverpool looks to determined to bring Kone. As current reports suggests, Reds looks determined to bring the midfielder this summer from Gladbach.
