Brennan Johnson will miss the clash against Liverpool

Tottenham’s new signing Brennan Johnson will miss the fixture against Liverpool this Saturday as the winger has pulled something during training.

Spurs are eyeing for seven games unbeaten streak in the Premier League this season. This in their second largest winning streak after 12 ganes unbeaten run in 2016-17 season.

However, they’ll have huge task in their hand this week as they face Liverpool. Reds are also currently unbeaten across all competitions this season.

Speaking in his pre-match press-conference, Ange Postecoglou confirmed Brennan Johnson will match against Liverpool. But he also confirmed it is not major issue for the young winger.

Johnson signed from Nottingham Forest this summer, but the winger has started only one games against Arsenal last weekend. He impressed everyone with his rapid speed and attitude in the football pitch.

However, Johnson now needs to focus on getting back to full fitness before he continues his at Spurs with likes of Son Heung-Min and Richarlison.

Under new manager, Tottanham is currently enjoying the best start to the top-flight campaign in last 50 years. Postecoglou confirmed that Johnson will miss clash against Liverpool. He said :-

“From last week, Brennan will miss out – it’s nothing too serious but he won’t be right for this week. Madders and Sonny trained today, just finished the session and seemed to get through it not too bad.

“We’ll just have to see how they pull up as it’s fair to say they were a bit sore after last week and had a bit of an interrupted week training so just a matter of seeing how they pull up.”
