Carragher is not happy with Liverpool’s recruitment process

Former Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is not very happy with the recruitment process at Anfield so far in this campaign.

The Mersyside club recruitment process has been far from being the best. Speaking about club’s haphazard transfer rules, Carragher is not a big fan club’s transfer policies in last few seasons.

In the early stage on the window, Reds quickly signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Liepzig. But lately they’ve struggled, as both Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo joined rival club Chelsea after a long pursuit by Liverpool.

Speaking on SkySports, Carragher said :-

“They just put a bid in for £60m when they refused to pay £50m a few days ago. It’s an absolute mess, it’s a joke. To not have things in order, this isn’t on the owners either.

“It’s the structure of the club, what are Liverpool doing? They’re not spending the same money as the other teams, and in the space of 18 months, Liverpool have had four directors of football.

“They haven’t got deals done – that’s your job in that role. The two players they bought had buyout clauses, there’s no negotiations in those! They can’t get deals over the line, they don’t pay the certain amounts. It’s an absolute mess, it’s a joke.”

Liverpool needs to very Swift with their decision for the rest of the transfer window. They’ve to replan their strategies and bring more players at Anfield this season.

Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo has already completed medicals with Liverpool and he will be soon announced as a new Liverpool player.
