Former Reds Jamie Carragher praises Liverpool’s new signing Dominik Szoboszlai for his brilliant display in this current campaign.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Carragher was discussing about Klopp’s summer signings this season. The German will be satisfied with his team’s performance considering the last season’s horrid performance.
Manager lost some of the main players in the middle park this summer. Hence, Reds brought reinforcement and signed four new midfielders.
Among them, Dominik Szoboszlai has been the pick of the signing this season. The Hungarian international is currently showcasing his flamboyance in the English top-flight already.
Carragher is very impressed with Szoboszlai’s performance so far in this campaign, specially how quick and strong the midfielder is. The 22-year-old is even compared with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. But in reality, the Hungarian got a long to way to go to match how calibre.
Discussing about the magnificent midfielder, Carragher said :-
“[Dominik] Szoboszlai looks brilliant.
“He looks almost like one of the best players and if he wasn’t playing in a game, you would really miss him.
“It’s not just his creativity or his shooting ability, it is his physical impact: the pace and power he has got in terms of the ground he covers and the challenges he is involved in.
“If he doesn’t have his best game with the ball, he is still having a huge impact.”
Szoboszlai already looks settled at his new club and Carragher backs him to succeed at Anfield in future. Meanwhile, he will be important for Reds to win a trophy this season.
