Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure wants Liverpool in this summer transfer window as per reporter in Twitter/X.

According to BBC sports contributer Dale O’Donnell, the midfielder has decided that he wants to move to this summer. He wrote :-

“For what it’s worth, I’ve heard that Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure wants to go to Liverpool.

“Don’t shoot the messenger. Can’t be too sure with Chelsea hijacking deals left, right and centre.”

As per SawkurGod, Doucoure enjoyed two different jobs in Lens and Crystal Palace respectively. They wrote :-

“A tale of two seasons.Cheick Doucouré has had two notably different roles for Lens and Crystal Palace.

“In 21/22, he lit up Ligue 1 with his efficient passing + box-to-box engine.22/23 saw him deployed exclusively as a holding midfielder, magnifying his defensive work.”

Doucoure has been outstanding for the Eagles last season. He has the ability to both progress the balls forward up the field and disrupt opposition attacks.

After failed attempt to sign both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Liverpool are currently finding a new holding midfielder this summer. Doucoure has emerged as the possible option for Reds this summer.

£111 million failed attempt for Caicedo have somehow made Liverpool’s life tough for rest of the transfer window. Crystal Palace will now demand hefty fee for Doucoure after seeing market inflate.

The Mersyside club still needs a new No 6 in their squad this season. Lots of names are emerging in the speculations but Doucoure looks like a serious candidate to join Reds in this transfer window.
