A spectacular performance by league leaders Chelsea saw the team net 7 past Norwich City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

With total domination, the Blues never gave Norwich City a chance to fight back. A rather expected result and a rather expected performance extended Chelsea’s lead in the Premier League.

Let’s have a look at the individual performance displayed by the players of both the teams and rate the players accordingly out of a 10 point match rating.

Chelsea player ratings against Norwich City:

Thiago Silva(7.4): Leader at the back. Held the backline superbly.

Antonio Rudiger(7.3): Bombarded the opposition midfield from time to time. Held strongly and comfortably at the back.

Reece James(7.7): Dominated the right-wing causing trouble to Dimitrios Giannoulis. A superb chip over Tim Krul to put score 3-0.

Jorginho(7.4): Held the ball well with an assist to Mason Mount. Subbed after an easy day’s work.

Mateo Kovacic(9.2): Top class positioning with presence all over the potch. complimented his work with an assist to each Chilwell and mount.

Ben Chilwell(7.4): Can’t stop scoring. Back with full confidence. Made important interventions and overlaps.

Mason Mount(10)(MOTM): A hattrick and assist to Reece James. Work says it all. Absolutely superb. Man of the Match.

Callum Hudson-Odoi(7.3): Confident and dominating on the left wong. Scored a great via Kovacic’s pass. Disappointed after getting subbed off.

Kai Havertz(6.7): A little wobbly but opened up spaces for other players.

Substitutes:

Ross Barkley(6.7): Decent input. Could have scored a goal.

Norwich player ratings:

Tim Krul(6.3): No chance with the first four goals…no idea what he was doing with the fifth. Two fantastic late saves but not his day, as evidenced by the re-taken penalty.

Kenny McLean(6.1): Really played off the ball trying to stop the CMs. Failed.

Dimitrios Giannoulis(6.2): Dominated throughout the first half by James and hauled off at half-time.

Milot Rashica(5.9): Tried changing the shape of the game. Pounced on Chilwell’s mistake, stopped by Chilwell.
