Chelsea interested to sign the 20-year-old Spanish winger next summer

Ansu Fati

Chelsea are now eager to sign Spanish winger Ansu Fati, as Barcelona are willing to let him go in the next summer transfer window.

Fati is currently at loan at Brighton & Hove Albion under Roberto De Zerbi. But he was linked with a move to Stanford Bridge this summer.

Meanwhile, a report from Spanish suggest Barcelona are now willing to sell Fati, as Chelsea might have clear opportunity next summer. The 20-year-old is currently enjoying his time at the Amex Stadium.

According to 90min, Chelsea were interested to sign Fati, but ended up joining another English club this summer. Since arriving in Premier League, he has scored only one goal against Aston Villa last Saturday.

However, there’s no clear reports why Barcelona are willing to let Fati go for good, despite his potential. Back in June, his agent Jorge Mendes labelled him as “phenomenal” and said :-

“You’ve got a phenomenon on your hands. He is one of the best young players in the world. He will win the Ballon d’Or, you will see.”

But Fati has been struggling with injuries in last couple of seasons, but he is still young and has a huge career in front of him. His Former Barcelona team-mate Ivan Rakitic termed him as an “incredible” talent.

Barcelona are currently showing no interest to keep him at the club, hence other club have a huge opportunity to sign next summer. According to Football Transfers, Fati will cost between £21 to £42 m.
