Chelsea are looking to extend their 27-year unbeaten record against Norwich City on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.

Chelsea have not suffered defeat against Norwich City since losing 3-0 at Carrow Road in December 1994. On that day Ashley Ward scored two goals to give Norwich the lead at half-time. Jamie Cureton later scored in the 88 minute to hand Norwich the 3-0 win against Chelsea.

Chelsea have since then remained unbeaten against Norwich. A run that extends to 27 years now.  The last fixture between the two clubs ended 1-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in July 2020.

Chelsea sit on top of the Premier League table with 19 points. Chelsea have won six of their eight Premier League matches up to now. And have led in only 3 goals. While Norwich City are dead last in the Premier League. Having drawn only two of their eight matches till now. Norwich City are still looking for their first win of the Premier LEagfuye season 2021/22.

Chelsea vs Norwich: Injury update

Chelsea are set to be without attacking duo Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner. Lukaku and Werner were both taken off injured in the first half in the Champions League clash against Malmo. American attacker Christian Pulisic also is ruled out of the clash against Norwich after suffering an injury setback. German star Kai Havertz is set to start the game as the striker for Chelsea.

Norwich City will be without on-loan Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour. Who is not allowed to face his parent club. Mathias Normann is fit and will be in contention to start the game. Todd Cantwell remains out after his recent Achilles and ankle problems. Full-back Sam Byram is also ruled out.

Thomas Tuchel’s side despite the injuries should be winning the clash against Norwich fairly comfortably. Chelsea even after injury setbacks have too much talent for Norwich to handle. And should be on for a comfortable win at home.
