Chelsea might make a move again for Roma star

Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham wants to return to the Premier League as soon as possible

This is according to an article in Corriere dello Sport which analyzed Abraham’s psychology and stimulus. Abraham wants to

attract attention from his country and return to the Premier League as soon as possible“.

Chelsea have an €80million priority clause for Abraham should he want a return to the Premier League. However, with his current performances for Roma, it seems very unlikely that he will return to the Premier League soon.

In his first season with Roma, the ex-Chelsea man had 21 goal contributions for the club. He had 17 goals and four assists in the club across all competitions. However, he has failed to achieve the same feat in his second year. He has had only two goals and an assist in seven games so far. If he wants to induce a move to Chelsea, he will have to perform better than that. Moreover, this move makes a lot of sense for the club. Tammy Abraham can be a viable option to lead the Chelsea attack for the long term. This will not be the first time that such a situation has arisen at Stamford Bridge

A move for the player cannot be ruled out when speaking of Chelsea. Chelsea brought back a former player Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for a record fee of €115m. He was bought in as a player who would lead the attack for the long term. However, a frustrating first season plagued with injuries and inconsistencies saw him travel back to Milan after only one season with Chelsea. The Blues will hope that Abraham will be the player to break this streak. However, to do that Avraham has to find his form first.
