Chelsea Nearing Agreement on Marquee Signing Mohammed Kudus

Football Insider sources have disclosed that Chelsea is on the verge of finalizing personal terms with Mohammed Kudus, marking a significant marquee signing for the club.

The 22-year-old midfielder’s transfer fee has reportedly been settled at £40 million. And Kudus is enthusiastic about joining the Blues during this summer transfer window.

Kudus, who has two years remaining on his contract with Ajax. Moreover, he is even open to an immediate departure from the Eredivisie side.

Having caught Ajax’s attention through his impressive performances at FC Nordsjaelland. The Ghanaian international was signed by the Dutch club for around £8 million in 2020.

Kudus played an instrumental role in Ajax’s Champions League campaign last season. Notably scoring in four out of six appearances, including a goal against Liverpool at Anfield.

Several Premier League sides have shown interest in Kudus. With reports suggesting that he came close to joining Everton during the final weeks of the 2022 summer window.

In March, Football Insider had previously revealed that Kudus expressed interest in a move to Manchester United this summer and had shared his desire to reunite with former coach Erik ten Hag.
