Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah may return from injury next month. This is according to a report by journalist Liam Twomey. Chalobah, aged 24, is yet to start in this campaign after sustaining a hamstring injury in pre-season. Besides this, the Englishman also hopes to play again by early October.

The Evening Standard claimed that £50million-rated Chalobah could face being frozen out at Chelsea after a summer move away from Stamford Bridge failed to happen. However, the Athletic journalist Lian Twomey feels that Chalobah’s position at Chelsea is not at risk. Moreover, he may be back from injury in a few weeks.

Twomey on X says,

“Chelsea made it clear throughout the summer and on deadline day that they wanted to sell Chalobah, but there haven’t been any suggestions he’ll be frozen out until January.

“He’s recovering well from a hamstring injury and hoping to be available again early next month.”

Fans at the Stamford Bridge will love to see Chalobah playing and getting a fair chance for his spot. It has been suggested that a move for the 24-year old Englishman may have been the best solution for both parties. In spite of this, he is still at Chelsea. He can prove to be good option for centre-back. He can even play at the right-back position. Looking at the injury record of Reece James, he can be a decent replacement.

Though, Mauricio may have a relatively large squad when one looks at it, still it is far better than what the club witnessed the previous season of the Premier League.
