Chelsea star Nkunku and Romeo Lavia return to training as Chelsea receive injury boost

Chelsea receive defensive injury boost as well as key players are back. Chelsea stars Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku are back from their injury and are training with the team. Moreover, players like Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, Reece James and Cucurella were not on international duty. Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill will also return back from the break on Friday. The Blues will be facing Newcastle United in their next Premier League clash this weekend. Besides this, other players who were not on international duty were spotted in the training ground as well.

Pochettino said that both Lavia and Nkunku can be involved in the squad following the international break. The pair also worked together on the pitch before the clash with Man City. The Blues boss also revealed his last talk with Christopher Nkunku. He said,

“We had some conversation and he said to me, ‘Coach, I want to be ready for after international break, Newcastle’. I asked him yesterday and he said ‘hmmm’, and I said ‘you are liar’. ‘No, no I am ready’.

It is close and he is doing really well. We are so happy with him, the way he is recovering, he is very professional. Romeo Lavia is also close. They trained today on the pitch. Hope that next week will be involved with the team and see after. Day by day see when it is possible to play with the team.”

The fans will be excited to watch their new signing rocking up the ground as they have not featured in a single game this season. Moreover, Lavia will be a huge figure as his transfer was a topsy-turvy between Liverpool and Chelsea.
