Craig Burley claims Arsenal player may be an ideal choice for Chelsea

Pundit Craig Burley suggests that Arsenal keeper Ramsdale can be an ideal choice for Chelsea. However, Craig said that he might not get into the current Liverpool squad. Speaking on ESPN, Burley shared his views after Ramsdale spoke about he feels being replaced by David Raya as first-choice keeper. The25-year old has been the first-choice for Arsenal since long. Therefore, it is hard to believe that he is replaced by Arsenal presently.

Given that Ramsdale has spoken about his position, Burley believes that this is the time for him to move on. He suggests that a potential move to Stamford Bridge makes more sense. Speaking on ESPN, he said

“He wants to play, because he’s got a manager who’s steadfast in his decision with David Raya at the moment. And there’s no point sitting on the bench applauding the goalkeeper that’s playing. Listen, I’m not criticising him for it, but there’s no point him doing that.”

He is a goalkeeper good enough, I mean, he’s probably not going to oust Alisson, he’s not going to oust Ederson.

The presenter replies: “Maybe Pope?”

“No, I think Pope’s a solid goalkeeper. I think Chelsea would be a shout, but it’s probably not going to happen because of Robert Sanchez,” Burley replied.

“His 12 months last year were just too good to let that go down the drain. But I don’t know how he’s going to do it. How is the manager going to let him go? The manager wants two goalkeepers.”

It does appear that Mauricio Pochettino is keeping an eye on the situation. Reports from the Daily Mail recently claimed that Chelsea are monitoring Ramsdale after he dropped down to the bench.
