Pundit Jermaine Beckford backs Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez as he claims that the Uruguayan International looks fearless this season.
Reds have been in red-hot form this season and Nunez is currently settling down his critics with performance. The Uruguayan looks like a different player after last season’s average performance.
Speaking on the Premier League Productions, Beckford claims that Nunez’s biggest change this season has been his mentality. The Uruguayan looks more focused which makes him more lethal in front of goal.
Beckford praised Darwin Nunez and said :-
“You mention Nunez there, he has three league goals in six games, what is different about him this time?”
“His focus, he’s so much more focused, he’s far more comfortable and relaxed in his surroundings. Anfield is an intimidating place, but Nunez has had a few conversations with Marcelo Bielsa, the Uruguay manager, who has got him to knuckle down and be clinical in these areas. He’s given Darwin Nunez the fearlessness he was lacking last season.”
Nunez was under lot of scrutiny due to his poor outing last campaign. The Uruguayan lacked composure in front of goal for Reds.
Many suggested that he was taking much pressure on him and that led to not making most of the opportunity in front of goal. However, everything has changed this season.
Nunez looks cool and composed this season as he has been Liverpool’s most lethal attacking outlet. He can bring more silverware back at Anfield with his kind of form in future.
