English midfielder Declan Rice is now one-step away from joining Arsenal this summer, according to Italian Journalist Rudy Galetti.

After signing Havertz from Chelsea this summer, Arsenal are looking to strengthen their team by adding Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber in the ranks. Gunners need fresh players to maintain their good rhythm of form.

Mikel Arteta’s side are finalising their £105 million transfer for Rice, as it was a tough deal for Arsenal. West Ham United rejected the first two bids, as it didn’t match their demands.

According to the Daily Mail, the main reason behind the delay was the ‘timing of instalments’ for the deal. It proved to be a stumbling block for the Gunners in their persuit.

Manchester City were seriously interested in the midfielder this summer, but Rice already agreed personal terms with Arsenal long back. As per the Guardian, Pep Guardiola’s side had a £90 million rejected last Tuesday.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORTS, Rudy Galetti stated that Rice’s move to the Emirates is on the horizon. He said :-

“Also in this case, as for the situation of Kane and Bayern Munich, it was a long courtship since January. Arteta pushed hard for him and that was a key figure in the success of the deal and he can’t wait to have Rice at his disposal. Manchester City, just for a few days, made a light attempt in their position, but they were also secondary.

“Declan Rice is on the verge of joining Arsenal. As we know, it’s a done deal – the story of Declan Rice after many months is arriving to the end.”
