Declan Rice remains keen to joining Arsenal despite Manchester City shows interest in signing the West Ham midfielder.

Arsenal’s first two bids were rejected by the Hammers, leaving Mikel Arteta at a risk of missing out on his main target this summer. West Ham are looking to gather interest from other big clubs and start a bidding war for Rice this summer.

Manchester City have the financial power to meet West Ham’s asking price of at least £100 million and it would for the England International to turned down a chance to player Guardiola. Rice spoke with the Spanish manager towards the end of last season.

As Ikay Gündoğan left the club this summer, City are looking bring reinforcement, especially a central midfielder. They have already bought Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea this summer.

Declan Rice would personally like to join Arsenal, as he prefers to stay in London. The England International became father last year and is extremely close to his family. He also admires Arteta’s brand of football, as Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with him.

Gunners have already made room for Rice by selling Granit Xhaka, who has an offer from Bayern Leverkusen. Thomas Partey will also depart from the club and Saudi Clubs are taking interest.

Arteta will need more physicality in their midfield this season. Arsenal are also targeting Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, who is price at £45 million.

West Ham wanted the guarented portion of the fee to be paid in fewer installments to boost their financial situation. The expectations remains that Rice will join Arsenal for a fee that could top £100 million, plus the add-ons.

But as per suggestions, Arsenal’s third bid has also been denied by the West Ham.
